I'm hoping for TX!!! That would be great to be by your family again. Also you always tanned really well, so the warm south sun would suit you the best.

Good luck

Good luck on which job you get. If there's more than one offer I'm sure you know to follow your heart for your decision. I'm so excited for you!

I would have to agree, Ern. Whenever I look back at the twists and turns my life has made, I see how even parts that were terrible at the time ended up leading me to something better than I had expected. I think that is part of what has strengthened my faith that God has a plan for me.

Jenski, I had thought that it would be easier to interview while I was down there, but one school was also on break, and the other wanted me to teach a class (the students weren't back yet, even though the faculty were).
So, most of my time in TX for Christmas/New Year's really was a break. I had tried to work on my talk some while I was there, but I was really having a mental block. Thus, when I got back, I had to spend a lot of time on it and on my guest lectures.

Your "break" was quite busy, huh? Did you interview in TX while you were visiting? I'll keep my fingers crossed too for you - waiting is tough!

Crossing my fingers for the job situation to turn out the way you would want. It seems I know so many people in research these days that are trying out other things--teaching, going back to their medical training...It's a tough field. But I'm sure that it will turn out for the best for you. It always does, eventually. :)
