Random things

2 random things today.

1.  It snowed on Sunday.  At first it was that little-bitty “is it snowing?” kind of snow that almost seems like rain.  THEN it started really snowing.  As in, LOTS of white snow coming down.

Of course, it all melted right away.  But still. It was the first snow of the season *sigh*.

2.  During the 12 years or more that I’ve been complaining to my doctors about allergies, how is it that no one ever told me there are antihistamine eye drops?  Granted, in the past my allergies have really congested my sinuses, which I guess was the doctor’s primary concern.  But I’ve been complaining about how it is mostly my eyes for at least the last 5 years or so.  It took mentioning it to my parents and my mom remembering that my grandma used to use antihistamine eye drops in order to find out about them.

They work great by the way.  I can tell a difference really quickly.  And I can also tell when they wear off 12 hrs. later.  These aren’t the visine kind either where you have to be careful how much you use them, which is great.

:-)

We got hail, dime-sized hail, on Sunday. Along with thunder, lightning, and rain. Ugh! Well, the thunder and lightning were cool.

I didn’t know they had those, either. Are they over the counter?

Hmm. I guess we never talked about allergy eye drops. I was prescribed these several years ago, but never used them as my nasal spray was enough for my non-skin allergies. Glad you figured that one out. Are these prescription? If not, you might consider asking your doctor as the prescribed kind might last longer.

Snow?!?! At least it melted. Just think of it as an opportunity to start wearing warm, fuzzy clothes.

    Snow?! BRRRRR.

No thank you. Uh uh. I want to be warm. This morning was the first morning that there was ice to scrape off the car. Of course it warmed up nicely once the sun came out.

As for doctors…I really just think that you have to keep going to different doctors and detailing every little thing until you can find someone who is willing to look at you and truly help you.

However, I wish I would have known that since my eyes can get very irritated with allergies on some days. I didn’t know there was over the counter stuff. Or is what you have prescription?

These were over the counter. I tried finding them at Target, but didn’t have any luck. I ended up finding them at Walgreens. They are in the allergy section, but are small, so kind of hard to find at first. If you go to Walgreens, the box has orange on it.

Make sure that you don’t get the Visine ones that are supposed to get the red out. Those are the ones that you shouldn’t use often (only infrequently). These drops just have antihistamine in them and nothing else.

As for the warm clothes, I’ve been wearing warm, fuzzy clothes for a while now. This fall seems cold.

    1. It’s only a matter of time until it sticks. Stay warm!

    2. It is hard to get doctors to think outside the box in which they used to thinking. :-( Glad you found the drops and that they are working so well!
