Independence Day *UPDATED*
and in large
Happy Independence Day!
I took these fireworks photos off of my back deck. They aren’t really spectacular by any means. But they are the first ones I have ever taken with this camera. Sometime, I’ll have to figure out the settings on my camera that I should be using a bit better. But for now, these will do to remind me of the experience.
I was able to get those 2 because the people who were shooting them off back by the lake had some that were one after the other in about the same spot. So, even though there was a delay on my camera taking the photo, I got some shots of fireworks. You can see one going up and getting ready to explode while the one before is still fading away.
I had a lot of fun watching the different fireworks. I’ve never lived somewhere where so many people shot off big ones that really look beautiful in the sky. There must have been about 7 different sets that I could see from our deck. It was really cool.

I love the spidery lines coming out of the fireworks. You’ll need to seek out fireworks to figure out how you like taking pictures of them, now that you’ve perfected the flower shots.
Happy (day after the) fourth!

How lucky for you that you can see the fireworks from your deck. I don’t know if most cameras can do any better than what you got. I had fun a couiple of times,. when I lived in Grand Rapids, taking fireworks photos from the deck. Not the best angle to see them all, but not bad. I kinda like the squigglieness of them.
Hope you enjoyed your 4th. I liked your flag pictures, too. :0(

Apparently they started selling mortars and shells here just recently and we were able to light some really nice, nice fireworks. I dn’t ever recall being able to buy the really nice fireworks like that.
I hope you had a nice Independence Day! It sounds like you had some good fun.
