Flowers for Friday & Fuzzy Friend Friday – orchids
As per my usual photo-taking when I don’t use my lightbox, I set the flowers on the floor to get a wide shot.
And guess who came over to investigate?
Yes, the Girlie-girl had to get right in the center of things.
I actually had to herd her away to get that first shot, because she kept wanting to lie down in the sun. This made her tail, or some part of her, in the photo.
Finally, I shoo-ed her away and got a shot. But just one, because she was quickly back.
Close-ups will be here when I take the ones with my 70-210 mm lens with the Kenko extension tubes.
But here is a hint of some photos taken in the late afternoon sun with the lens that came with my camera.

Those are gorgeous! Have you ever thought of making flower calendars for gifts? Or for your work desk for that matter? Kodak will print those right up for you…
I knew GG would get involved.
Ern says:
Beautiful! I love that last one with the dappled sunlight and the blurred flowers in the background.
squirl says:
Gorgeous shots! But GG knew that she was really the subject of this photo shoot!

Jenski, I have contemplated the idea. Actually, I’m more inclined to make greeting cards for people out of them. I know that flickr will do calendars, but I’m not sure if they do cards. I think right now, I’d have to just have photos printed and then glue the photos to blank cards that I buy.
Isn’t the girlie funny. I kinda thought she would stay away. But no, had to get right in there.
Ern, I like that one too. I like how the petals look like layers with the sun shining through like that.
Squirl, she did seem to know, didn’t she? She is such a funny girlie.
