I have a facebook account. The girls at the lab talked me into it a few months ago. It's not bad. I actually know quite a few grad and med students who use it, including some who I know and network with at other schools. Some people put myspace type stuff all over their pages and some look much more professional. I don't keep it up super regularly; I prefer my blog (and we all know how rarely I update there...), but it's pretty fun. (I loathe MySpace.)

I have never gotten into them. I know some people my age who are into it, but it's not for me. I don't actually like people all that much.

:)

I have a Facebook page. When Facebook first started, I believe you had to have an .edu email address, so it was definitely a younger crowd. I was mentoring an undergrad this summer and the whole group doing the program really got in to Facebook, so I actually started using it. I think that people 26-ish and up are starting to use it more. My sister is obsessed now!

It is nice, in that you can keep up with people even *more* easily than with just email. :) I agree with Amber, Facebook is more social networking and LinkedIn more professional networking.

I have a facebook, since I am pretty young and all my friends have one. It really helps having that to keep connected with them.

Myspace? -gag-

I have an account, but solely for the purpose of viewing a friend's privated blog. I don't know why she insists blogging on there when there are hundreds of better options.

Anyway, if you ever decide to get a social networking account, I'd recommend facebook or even linked in (that iis more for professiional).

I have this prejudice that they're for a younger crowd. This isn't true, but you know how prejudices work. Besides, I have enough trouble keeping my blog going. I don't need to add more to it!
