Christmas – poinsettia

I bought this poinsettia at the grocery this year. I was planning on buying a small one, but they were only selling large ones. So, large it is!

As I was photographing the poinsettia, I was thinking how photos with curves just don’t seem Christmassy. Is it the shape of the tree or the star that makes me think all things should be pointy at Christmas? I’m not sure. Maybe the curves just seemed odd, because when you look at a poinsettia overall, you see the points. Even so, I liked these photos with curves in them, perhaps because they are a bit odd. I think this next photo is my favorite close-up one. It blends the curves and the angels very well, I think.

angels – angles

Did you catch that?

Or maybe I just confused you. ;-)

As I was saying, here is the photo.

And with that, I say to all of you – I hope you have a very blessed Christmas. And may it also be merry. I hope that the joy of the season reaches you during this time.

Hugs to all of you across the miles,
Danielle

    Merry Christmas!

Great pictures too. I love how the red, especially in that last one, matches your sidebars exactly.

You know, I was looking at that too, Ern, and thinking how pretty it looked together. All color coordinated!

I’m glad you both dropped by!
