Happy New Year’s Eve!

I’ve been posting a ton of pictures on Flickr of my niece, Texas Baby Bunny a.k.a. Munchie. But since they are all posted as private photos for friends and family only, you won’t see any on here. But here is a link to my photostream. There are photos of Munchie going for a wagon ride with me, Dad, and Texas Seestor. Photos of us pushing her on her swing. Photos with Christmas presents, including the present HB and I gave her – the Baby Grand Piano (which she loves, I might add). And pics of us sitting out in the fabulously wonderful Texas sunshine.

In the meantime, here is Max, the wunderbunny.

May you have a New Year filled with fuzzy and warm moments.

(Do you like how I tied Max in with the New Year’s concept?) ;-)

Take care and talk to you soon!

Christmas – poinsettia

DSC_7127.JPG

I bought this poinsettia at the grocery this year. I was planning on buying a small one, but they were only selling large ones. So, large it is!

As I was photographing the poinsettia, I was thinking how photos with curves just don’t seem Christmassy. Is it the shape of the tree or the star that makes me think all things should be pointy at Christmas? I’m not sure. Maybe the curves just seemed odd, because when you look at a poinsettia overall, you see the points. Even so, I liked these photos with curves in them, perhaps because they are a bit odd. I think this next photo is my favorite close-up one. It blends the curves and the angels very well, I think.

angels – angles

Did you catch that?

Or maybe I just confused you. ;-)

As I was saying, here is the photo.

And with that, I say to all of you – I hope you have a very blessed Christmas. And may it also be merry. I hope that the joy of the season reaches you during this time.

Hugs to all of you across the miles,
Danielle

Fuzzy Friend Friday – Under the tree

DSC_7117_adjusted

The Girlie-girl just loves the tree skirt. The funny thing was that she was nowhere near the tree when I was decorating it. Then about 1 minute after I got the tree skirt down – bam! – she laid down on it. At first, she had this hunched look like she was sure I was going to scold her about it. But once she realized I didn’t care, she relaxed and got into her favorite sleeping pose with her front feet all tucked in. And then, of course, I got the camera and the nap that she had planned had to be post-poned. Hence the grumpy look, I’m sure. ;-)

I hope each of you finds somewhere to snuggle up and be cozy this Christmas season. Maybe on the couch with a fuzzy blanket. Oh, well, that is my favorite place, at least. Isn’t it everyone’s? ;-)

I hope to take some poinsettia pics to post on Christmas Eve, so if you are around, see you then! If not, Merry Christmas!

Blogthing for Christmas – part II

I was looking for the blogthing that Ern (was it Ern?) posted on her blog recently. But alas, I couldn’t find it.

But I did find this one about Christmas spirit.

Your Christmas Sprit Level: 70%

You have a lot of Christmas spirit, and it’s evident to most people who know you.
You love most things Christmas, and you do your best to make sure everyone has a great holiday.

While you like the more commercial aspects of Christmas, you truly know what the spirit of Christmas is about.
You’re all about giving, being kind, and sharing the spirit of Christmas with everyone you know.

I really like Christmas. Big surprise there.

As an aside, I decorated with lights the weekend of Thanksgiving this year. And finished decorating the trees the following weekend.

These are the carnations that were part of the Thanksgiving bouquet. I’m just now getting around to posting the photos.

Nerd Test

NerdTests.com says I'm a Non-Nerd. What are you? Click here!

I’m not a nerd, as it turns out. At least, not by the questions asked at Nerdtests.com.

I think I’m good with that. There is a certain amount of pride that comes with being nerdy and it shows you are comfortable with yourself to be proud of it. But well, I’m just not into gaming, comic books, and computers, so I can see where I don’t fit into the typical nerd categories.

wondering

Why do people use the words breakfast cereal? Why not just cereal? Is there such a thing as lunch cereal or supper cereal and we need to be sure to differentiate among them?

Just wondering.

Blogthing for Christmas

I saw this over at Squirl’s and since I love all things Christmas, I decided to do it. We are the same thing. You might want to check it out – there are only 5 questions and they are pretty cute.
