Fair & Festival Friday

Over the weekend, a friend and I went to the Minnesota Renaissance Festival.

There were lots of costumes…

…lots of entertainment of the musical variety…

…and of the random variety.

There were also lots of pets, because it was pet weekend.

We also went to lots of shops. Some of the ones that were the most fun were the costume/clothes shops.

I bought two things at the festival. One was a beautiful mug to commemorate the event. And the other was a flag from this shop

Oh, and I got to eat a big turkey leg.
-no photos of that one- ;-)

All in all, it was a fun day. The weather was overcast, but that made it perfectly comfortable all day long. The clouds made it so that I didn’t have to wear sunscreen that makes me have a skin reaction or get burnt and have permanent pigmentation problems. All good things. :-D

If you want to see the whole set, click here.

Have a good weekend everyone!

I’ve never been to a ren festival but I know people who do go. They sound like fun.

One time I googled my name. One of the things that came up was a woman who used that as her “stage” name when she sang at ren festivals.

That looks like a fun day! So much going on and the set-up looks pretty involved. How long does the festival go for?

    Great photos, of course! :)

Evidently, it goes for 7 weeks. So, most of the buildings and stages are permanent. I was really impressed with it all. We only saw half of the shops and a small portion of the shows! There was definitely lots to do and see.
