It seemed like most of the country was either having a heat wave or excessive rain. Were you affected by the weather? Or did you still manage to make your exercise goals?

It’s gorgeous in Boston! Mid-70s, breezy, sunny.

Tues, walk to work; walk/run 5miles in 65 min
Wed, walk 5 miles in 75 min
Sat, walk 5 miles in 90 min (I wasn’t rushing that time!)
    Sun, walk 7 miles
Today, walk to work; walk/run 3.25 miles in 40 min

I currently have no goals…except to do something exercise like each day. Today I swam with my son and nieces. Sunday nothing, Saturday I sweated a ton carrying my child around a Mommies get together here in town…outside in this miserable heat.

I hope to do better the rest of the week.

    ha!

I did 10 min exercise of dulled down aerobics each day. It really wasn’t much.

And then whatever day it was that we didn’t have rain in the evening, Andy and I took a 3 mile walk.

    Tis be about it.

I will claim both rain (tropical storm Erin doused Texas) and heat combined with post-Erin humidity.

I managed to use my ‘Bounce Your Body Beautiful’ book to complete a work out on Sunday. And, boy, was I sore on Monday.

If anyone is interested, the book has exercise routines formulated around an exercise ball (hence, the term ‘bounce’). They are strength training routines that work well with walking or other cardio exercise.

I walked 2 times, which means that I met my shortened goal of 2 walks. But also means that I didn’t make it up to my normal goal of 3.

I am doing this from memory but I think:

    Wed 2.6 miles at 15.08 min/mile
Friday 2.6 miles at 14.89 min/mile <– my fastest EVER!
