I started off slow, but ended with a bang.
Nothing until Thursday, when I went for a long, fast walk.
Saturday, I went for a long, fast walk – and saw 2 broods of canadian geese – little fuzzy yellow babies. They were so cute.
Sunday, I went for a long, fast walk – and saw the same 2 broods again. This time in a different lake. Pretty cute. It is intersting how much they look like ducklings. They are just a wee bit bigger.

Monday – short walk
Tuesday – long walk
Wednesday – short walk and lots of stairs
Thursday – short walk
Friday – long walk
Saturday – nothing
Sunday – nothing
I love this time of year where all the baby goslings and ducklings are out. So cute!

Slow week, but great weekend…
Wednesday – 30min walk
Saturday – 30mile (~2hr) bike ride
Sunday – 14mile (~1hr) bike ride
The Sunday ride was supposed to be 15miles, but I got a flat tire ~1mile from home. I wasn’t sure if I had any good CO2 cartridges, so I quickly called Trainwreck to come rescue me. I managed to change the tube and was about to attempt to inflate the tire when Trainwreck and Munchie came to my rescue. As it turns out, I would have been fine, but as I haven’t had to change a tire in over a year, I just wasn’t all that confident. Now I am back in the groove!
On the topic of the baby geese…where are the pictures??? : ) I know…you don’t typically carry your camera on walks. That’s OK, I can envision them in my head. Cute, little balls of fluff.

Hmmm…not such an active week for me!
Monday walk 30 min; run/walk 2.2 mi in 24 min; 100 jumps jump-roping
Tuesday 35 min pilates; exercise bike 35 min; elliptical 10 min; situps; walk 30 min
THEN, I totally gave in to the rain and coldness in the Northeast and only drove my car until Sunday when I went walked 30 min to celebrate the blue sky.
Squirl says:
As I’m still swollen and sore from that stupid fall last March, I don’t walk really fast yet. But on Sunday we strolled through Garden in the Woods in Framingham for an hour. Lots of up and down hill. On Tuesday we walked through the Arnold Arboretum for about an hour. More up and down hill. Face it, the Boston area is nothing BUT up and down hill.
I know I did something else on Saturday, but now I don’t remember what it was.
jenski says:
It’s true, Squirl, Boston packs A LOT of hills in a small area! Plus whatever you did Saturday was surely in the rain so you get bonus points for that.
