Hot exercising Chicks – Week 46

Last week, I asked how everyone did with their exercising on a different post, but I decided to ask this week on a traditional Hot Exercising Chicks post.

So, how did you do last week?

Well, I got off to a good start – I went for a fast walk on Tuesday. But then I slacked off. I didn’t even go on Saturday like usual, because I got caught up in some work that I’d brought home from school. *sigh*

    I’ll do better this week.

A better week, but still not great.

    Monday – 30min elliptical @ gym + sit-ups
    Friday – 30min elliptical @ gym + sit-ups
    Saturday – 1 hour (15mile) bike ride
Sunday – stripped caulk out of shower and pulled weeds from flower beds (arms are sore!)

Good luck to everyone on this week’s endeavors!

    Notta!

I keep thinking it’s going to rain on me, but then it NEVER rains. Oh well.

Well, I did help put up walls on Saturday and I took a nice walk pushing a heavy cart at Lowe’s. But nothing major.

    *sigh*

    Yay Texas Seestor!

Amber, I absolutely know what you mean about the rain. I keep going home and look outside and think I’m going to be rained on. And right now, doing pilates just doesn’t appeal to me. At least today it is sunny. :-)

I am glad it is finally sunny today, which means I may be able to get outside and start tilling our walkway. We are landscaping around there with some annuals. Yay.

And pilates and yoga with me?? I’d love too, but I’m getting that awkward belly thing going on now. I guess its not so bad, but I would still rather walk.

Maybe I’ll go on a walk today. I mean, I should.

    OOoo, an official HEC post!

I’ve been pretty good since February about going to the gym at least 3 days a week and walking to work. Last week I started trying to go for a jog in the morning. So this morning I jogged for 15 min and walked 15 min and did situps and (a FEW) pushups and then walked to work.

Hope everyone has beautiful spring weather like we are supposed to for the next several days – perfect for walking!

Well, last week wasn’t good, but this week will be worse. Last week I missed a yoga class because I was out for my birthday, so I made only one. The last one. And I went to Curves twice.

This next week I’ll be gone on vacation and may not have internet, but I can probably tell you already what it’ll be. No Curves, busy in the yard and getting ready for the trip.

For what it’s worth, I’m moving around the yard, watering, and digging weeds. I also rode a whole six blocks on my bike. It’s been years since I’ve ridden. My legs are STILL healing from that March fall so I didn’t want to push it. I want to be able to walk when we go to Boston to visit my aunt and uncle.

I’m kind of excited about the bike. That was part of Ichabod’s birthday present to me. He got it ready, it’s been sitting for years. He also bought me a helmet as I’ve never had one.

Anyway, I’ll still be around through Friday, then it’s off to the East!

    Jenski,
Good for you! It is terrific that you are adding in extra exercising in addition to walking to work.

Squirl, if your trip to Boston is anything like ours usually were, you’ll be doing a lot of walking while you are there. Also yard work definitely counts. Especially digging weeds. Those busters are hard to pull out – or at least hard to get the roots instead of just the tops. And yay for your fixed up bike and new helmet! That is just great. :-)

By the way, I went for a walk yesterday and managed to give myself a migraine over it. Guess I overdid it. *sigh*

Time to get that heart rate monitor.

Yes, get that heart rate monitor. Migraines suck!
