Flowers for Friday – yellow tulips
These bloomed out in our front flower bed. They have been blooming every year since we moved here with no effort from me to plant bulbs or anything in the fall. Clearly, the bulbs are much hardier than everyone says.
and in large
I hope you enjoy the yellow tulips. And may you have a good weekend.

You knew I’d love the yellow tulips. This really isn’t much of a coincidence, as it is that time of year, but I was just checking out a tulip picture that I took and remembered it was Friday. Danielle must have her Friday flower pictures up. You did not disappoint, they’re beautiful, especially the large picture.

I love tulips . They’re one of my favorites. Thanks for sharing them!

Oooo. I really love the last couple of pictures which show the red (or is it orange? hard to tell on the computer monitor) veins in the petals. Very pretty!
I might actually consider planting some tulips if yours are that hardy.
Happy Friday!
Ern says:
Purty! I love the red streaks.
Amber says:
Absolutely stunning!
I am surprised, actually, because mine haven’t been doing too well, but hey, one of us got lucky!
How awesome. Thanks for the nice yellow happiness.
Danielle says:
I’m glad you all like them so much! I do too. I took these pics last weekend and now there is a pink one in addition to some red ones. I may take another photo or two if the weather is nice tomorrow.
Amber, these aren’t the bulbs that you gave me. Or do you mean that you planted tulips too? The ones you gave me last year are still just small sprigs of green. I think they were irises weren’t they? Or were they daylilies? I can’t remember anymore. I guess it will be a surprise when they get bigger.
Amber says:
I planted tulips, too, but they seem to not be doing so well. i think I have a squirrel problem. I think I gave you some irises and some lilies as well.

Beautiful yellow tulips! I just cut some in the backyard that are yellow and red. So springy-y.
Deer. Deer are NOT good for tulips either. My mom saw hers coming up and the next morning they were completely gone.
