Flowers for Friday – Hibiscus
While we were at Wildseed Farms in Texas, the hibiscus for sale were blooming. This pink one is probably the best photo of the group that I was able to shoot. Unfortunately, I didn’t feel like it was acceptable to wheel them around for photographic purposes into better lighting. So, I was faced a situation of less than perfect lighting.
But the flowers are still pretty and worth admiring.
And I’m getting this posted so late, because I ended up with a migraine this morning and am staying home for the day. This, of course, means that I’ll have to go in all day tomorrow, but I’d rather do that than go in now and be there until 8 or 9 pm tonight. That is just way too close to bedtime and plays havoc with me.
So, I hope all of you have an excellent Memorial Day weekend. I know that I’ll be enjoying the bliss that is a Monday off of work.

I was just at Flickr and saw the pictures. As soon as I checked I remembered you would be posting flowers today. Looks like I’m not late to the party.
Sorry you had a migraine this morning, even sorrier you now have to work tomorrow. But do enjoy your weekend!

Beeeeautiful flowers!
I had forgotten that you took those.
I checked earlier and didn’t see a post, but thought “I’ll check back after lunch”…glad I did, but sorry to hear that the delayed posting was due to a migraine.
Enjoy your not-at-work Friday. Hope everyone enjoys their (hopefully long) weekends!

I have been enjoying my not at work Friday! I’ve been reading a new Amanda Quick book and generally taking it easy. I also had to read up on all the American Idol news since I didn’t have time to read the stories yesterday. hee!
I really liked the finale. I thought there were a lot of good performances. All except for Bette Midler, at least.

These are one of my favorite flowers (I say that a lot, don’t I?). So lovely, and I also like the word hibiscus.

Very pretty pictures!
Thanks for sharing!
And I wouldn’t worry about lighting, they look so cool anyway.
