Fuzzy Friend Friday – bed runner
This post is for Justin and Squirl who wanted to see more photos of Girlie-girl.
The other night, we went out to eat. When we came home, there was no sign of the Girlie-girl at the top of the steps, in the living rooms, or in the kitchen. I called and called and she never showed up. Finally I went upstairs to change clothes and lo’ and behold she was laying on the perfectly clean and, until now, cat hair free bed runner.
Pretty quickly, she got fed up with the flashing and the picture-taking.
Doesn’t she look grumpy as heck?
And then relatively quickly, she decided to show me who was boss.
Doesn’t she look like she is coming to kick my ass?
I also think of this photo as her sumo wrestler look. Edit that, maybe a sumo-wrestler who has just been told that the smorgasbord is now closed. See the tongue sticking out slightly? That is cause she is hungry.
Oh, and after that incident, I’ve only found her sleeping on the bed runner one other time. So, it appears that the bed runner may stay relatively free of cat hair after all.
Happy Friday!

Squirl says:
Hee hee, thanks for the Girlie-girl pics! She does look pretty grumpy there. The sumo wrestler with the closed food bar, that’s the look, most definitely.
Happy Friday to your whole household!
sheryl says:
She DOES look like she is coming to kick your ass! Did she?
I just wanted to stop by and say hello. I’ve missed you and I owe you a real email – which is forthcoming. I hope you have a great weekend, Danielle.
Hugs!

Hee, what a cutie. Love the sumo wrestler thing.
Danielle says:
To answer your question, Sheryl, she came and sniffed/ bonked her nose against my camera lens.
I made up to her shortly thereafter. And, of course, got her off of the bed runner.
Squirl and Kelly, glad you liked the sumo wrestler part.

Girlie-girl looks a little like those quilted dish warmers you put over a casserole in that first picture. Pictures of cats makes me want one BAAADDDD…A cat just got my parents. As in, it showed up in their yard and they are suckers. Within 48 hours they had brought it to the vet for shots and to become an it.
Hope you got the nose prints off the lens, Danielle!
Ern says:
I love these pics! She looks so regal in the first and so tough-girl in the others.
I would love if my poor hyperthyroid kitty could be nice and chubby like that.

I still can’t get over how HUGE your cat is! And I thought Neville was big!
Justin says:
Thanks – I love it! The grumpy picture is amazing. Girlie-girl is the official mascot of my laptop background.
