Slinky Sunday
In addition to the Tropical Barbie in the dress that I made, Mom and Dad sent me my slinky! Well, really 2 slinkys – but I didn’t want to say that, because is it slinkys or slinkies?
hmm?
Well, whatever the spelling, here they are in all their fabulous action.
I, personally, like the 3rd one best. Mainly, because it reminds me of the quick action of the slinky as it flips down the stairs. The orange one wouldn’t really go from stair to stair like it is ‘supposed’ to do. But it was still a lot of fun.

Oh, the joy that is a Slinky!
Amber says:
oooooooooh slinky
I love those things.
I love that one scene in one of Jim Carrey’s Pet Detective movies where he does the slinky down the steps of the Mayan temple and it stops on the second to the last step. LOL! That one always gives me a laugh.
Okay, I am totally amused and overjoyed by your photos.
Let me just say, slinkies are to me as shiney things are to crows….
LadyBug says:
What walks down stairs, alone or in pairs
and makes a slinkity sound?
A spring, a spring, a marvelous thing!
Everyone knows it’s Slinky.
It’s Slinky, it’s Slinky,
it’s fun, it’s a wonderful toy.
It’s Slinky, it’s Slinky,
It’s fun for a girl or a boy.
Love the Slinky photos, Danielle!
Amber says:
And to parody Ladybug:
What rolls down stairs, alone or in pairs,
rolls over your neighbor’s dog?
What’s great for a snack and fits on your back?
It’s Log, Log, Log!
It’s Log, Log!
it’s big, it’s heavy, it’s wood.
It’s Log, Log!
it’s better than bad, it’s good!
Everyone wants a log! You’re gonna love it, Log!
Come on and get your log! Everyone needs a Log!
Squirl says:
Ladybug, you beat me to the Slinky song! That’s what I get for being late.
Slinkies are really cool toys. I had one when I was a kid, too.
Danielle says:
HA! Ladybug, now that you typed the song out, I totally remember it and can hear it in my head.
I always loved singing along to that. Of course, I sang along to most of the jingles and songs for TV shows.
Do your kids have slinkies? or are they passe now?
