Short week
It is, as we say in my family, a short week. Meaning, of course, a short Work-week. Yay! I’m taking tomorrow off to fly to my in-laws in Indiana, so today is my Friday, so to speak.
Yes, I said that I’d be flying tomorrow. I’ll be at the airport on the busiest travel day of the year. When you see the stories on the news about how long the lines were and crowded the airports were, etc. you can think of me. There wasn’t much that I could’ve done to avoid that. So, I’m just going really early and am going to suck it up and stay cheerful and patient – or at least that is my intention.
I’m looking forward to having my first ever deep fried turkey. I’ve heard from people how delicious they are, but I’ve never gotten to try one. So that will be cool.
I also get to meet a cousin by marriage (very young – maybe 6? 7?) for the first time. She sounds like a lot of fun.
And there are the cats. Four or five of them. I’m obviously not doing very well with numbers right now, since I can’t remember that either. I wasn’t going to take my camera, but you know, with the cats, you just never know what will be photo-worthy.
And speaking of cats, as I write this, a certain Girlie is all tucked in next to me purring. She will have a neighbor checking in on her while we are gone. She should be fine. Lonely, but fine.
I’ll have wireless access while I’m there, so I’m not disappearing off of the face of the earth during this trip. See you around the internet!
Don’t forget to exercise! I’m taking my clothes for outside walking, so I’m keeping my fingers crossed that the weather is decent.

Ooooh, have fun, Danielle! Not, you know, standing in line at the airport fun, but seeing your family and eating good food fun.
SeaQueen says:
Have fun, D! Hopefully the travel won’t be too bad and it’s always nice to have someone else cook the turkey
Texas Seestor says:
Have a Happy Turkey Day, Danielley!
Since you have a good attitude and plan to be early, I am sure the travel part will go just fine.
Enjoy the visit and hopefully good weather! Tell everyone hello for me.
