Hot exercising Chicks – Week 31

Another week! Ours was decisively cooler which made outdoor activity much more do-able. How about you?

    The cooler weather was perfect for walking.

    I went out Tuesday, Thursday and Friday! I’m pleased that I did my 3x’s a week without any problems this week.

    I am starting to think of Tuesday and Thursday as my exercise days. I think it is helping me stick to it when I think of them that way. I might have to stick Friday in there as my 3rd day, because on the weekend we eat lunch late usually and I don’t feel like going out at my usual-ish time… and then it gets later and I just put it off and before you know it, I skipped exercising. So, I think I’m better off exercising on weekdays.

    I think I only had one day last week when I missed my walking goal. One of those days I made over 15,000 steps! And the painting is quite a workout for me. :)

    I walked for an hour on Tuesday and then 20 miles on both Friday and Saturday and 10 miles Sunday…Not because I wanted to, but for a fundraising walk. :)

    I did something over a mile of mostly walking/some running on Tuesday; 1.5 miles of half run/half walk on Wednesday and on Sunday I was in a 5K run/walk where I made my goal of running more than half of it and finished in a time of 43 minutes!

    This was a milestone week for me. Partially b/c the doctor told me on Wednesday of last week that she really wants all of her patients to exercise every day of the week for at least 30min. Yipes.

    Tuesday: 40min walk
    Wednesday: 40min walk
    Thursday: 35min walk
    Friday: 30min elliptical machine
    Saturday: 30min walk
    Sunday: 1hour yard work + 2.5 hours house cleaning (I am counting both as both made me sweat!)

    A big thanks goes out to Trainwreck as he walked with me on every one of the walks last week!! This was a huge help!!!

    Trainwreck for participating in 4 days of walking! Way to be supportive and healthy! We are going to have to change the title back to Hot Exercising Chicks and Chicos. ;-)

    Danielle, it took a while to get on board with the exercising thing. I’m glad I’ve started now. This was a really good idea. Sometimes when I don’t feel like doing anything I wonder how it’ll look when I comment here.
