Hot exercising Chicks – Week 26

I’m a day or two late on this, but I’d still like to know how everyone did last week.

    I was able to stick to exercising three times. Just couldn’t get up the gumption to bump it up to four or five times. I’ll have to work on that.

    Tuesday – Pilates
    Thursday – walked outside – Once I got out there, it was hotter than I’d realized!
    Saturday – walked with Amber outside – again, it started off okay, but got really hot once we got to the non-shaded part.

    Monday, Wednesday, Friday – Aerobics
    Saturday – Walking with Danielle.
    Sunday – Cleaning out garage and unicycling.

    I propose that doing Pilates together sounds like a good idea on hot days. Blech!

    I overheated myself this Monday at the zoo, too, but I had lots of fun!

    Wednesday & Friday – Swimming 25min

    Not much else. Although, we did spend some time cleaning up the garage so we could park one of the cars in the garage again. It was so hot while we were doing this and I was sweating so much that I am going to count this as exercise. : )

    Yes, the real exercise post!

    As I put in the flower post, I had two nights with walks that were at least an hour last week.

    They’re starting a new program at work this week. If you wanted to participate you needed to sign up to walk 7500, 10,000, or 13,500 steps per day, at least 5 days a week. It goes until the end of October. They provided us with a pedometer and good info about walking.

    This is exactly what I needed to really get going. I do best when I compete against myself. I only signed up for the 7500 per day as I don’t want to mess up my knee or heels again. So far I’ve made my goal on Monday and today. I was shy of my goal by 900 steps on Sunday.

    Anyway, I should be posting here that I’m walking much more now. :)

    Yay! Everyone has been exercising!

    Amber, good job on doing something 4 times last week!

    Nicole, I’m glad to hear you’ve been swimming. I know you’ve been tired, so even going twice is great.

    And Squirl – the two long walks are great and a daily goal is great news! Incentives like that are terrific. Oh, but you didn’t say, is there incentive? As in, do you get something if you meet your goal? recognition or something? Or is it purely being done to make people more aware? Just wondering.

    Actually, there are prize drawings monthly for people who meet their goal. I would do it just because it forces me to get some exercise in. But, hey, prizes are good, too!
