Hot exercising chicks and chicos – week 22

I was just thinking about how it really is helping me that I have to ‘report’ my activity each week. It is definitely helping me stay on target. So, for those of you who come here looking for a real post and all you get is a post about exercising, Thank You for bearing with me.

I managed to exercise 3 times this week. I walked hard and fast with some jogging on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Today (Sunday) I did my pilates DVD which is basically a lot of ab work, but I still worked up a sweat. It was just too hot to go outside.

You’re doing so well that you don’t even report how long you’ve exercised now. :)

I’m not that good yet, so I’m going to report times.

On Thursday I walked at stroll rate for about 45 minutes.

On Friday at lunch I moved around the building (1 mile) at a little over 15 minutes.

Then, Friday night, Ichabod and I walked, fast again, for one hour and 15 minutes

I’m happy that I’m getting out and walking again. Knowing that I’ll be reporting in here makes a difference for me, too. Thanks!

This is helping me out a bunch, too.

However, I did not get much done this week.

I did two days worth of dancing and aerobics, but I planned to leave some exercising for Saturday that didn’t get done. I didn’t go on a walk, but decided to help Andy with the yard work. I worked on the yard and mowed for about two hours, but then got a headache. I still planned on exercising by walking or aerobics, but my headache turned into a migraine. As you know, that means that the world must absolutely stop. ;)

Nothing today, either. Oh well. Better next week, I hope.

Migraines suck. I think we all agree on that. However, since when did yardwork and lawn mowing NOT count as exercise? Your body definitely will know that you’ve been working out.

Not so much for me this week.

    Walked on Thursday morning 30min
Helped with yard work on Sunday ~30 min

I had a great desire to nap a lot last week after work and on the weekend which pretty much overtook any desire to exercise. Hoping I will be motivated to swim this week as it is the one thing that feels good to do.

When I was pregnant, I always felt more comfortable swimming and bike riding. I hated running.

    blech!

    OK, yard work counts. :)

I just want to say that I’m way impressed that it’s Week 22 and you’re still going strong. Rock on, girl.

Thanks for the exercise advice, Amber. They have told me I can ride my bike on the trainer, so that is still on the list. I have never been a big fan of running, so that isn’t hard to avoid. The biggest problem is motivation.

Also, I definitely agree that yard work counts (especially since I count it myself)!
