Now that the heat of summer is upon us, it gets harder and harder to exercise outside.

How did you do this week?

Well, I didn’t do as well as I’d hoped.

I only got out 2 times to walk – Monday and Sunday.

Of course, I’m still walking a half hour every day to get to and from my parking spot. But I’m not really counting that although it is certainly better than not walking that distance.

I’ll try to do better this week.

I would say that the half hour every day to and from the parking lot counts. Your body is taking note, I’m sure. So good for your health.

I was hoping to do more too. On Monday I walked about 25 minutes. On Thursday I walked fast for 45 minutes and felt really good afterward. But then nothing really since then.

    Maybe this week. :)

I did my usual the past week.

And I mowed the lawn on Sunday.

    That’s pretty much it.

I agree with Squirl, 30min to and from the parking lot definitely counts. That is what they tell people to do who can’t fit exercise in their schedule…park farther than you normally would and walk or take the stairs.

I pretty much did nothing (except nap). By the end of the date when I would normally exercise, I am either too tired or too hungry! My new plan is to try and walk a few times a week in the morning…we’ll see how that goes.

Just to clarify, it isn’t 30 min to and 30 min from the parking lot. It is 15 min each way for a total walking time of 30 minutes a day.

But I’m glad you all think I can count it. Because it sure feels like a long slog to and fro each day.

Texas Seestor, I hope your new plan works! Me, I’m too apt to sleep in instead. You go!
