Flowers for Friday – echinacea

DSC_4114

These echinacea, or purple coneflowers, are blooming in two different spots in our front yard. I’m so glad that the previous owners put in so many perennials. It has been fun to see what will bloom next.

I tried my hand at some close-up photography again. But this time I tried it outside while the wind was blowing. That was quite tricky and led to many blurred photos. However, the photo above was taken outside and turned out okay.

The one I took inside has an interesting lighting effect. But overall, I liked the outside shots and angle better.

I love the pattern in this last one.

Hope you like them too! Happy Friday.

I think this pattern shows the Fibonacci sequence. Or it’s also been called the Golden Ratio.

The hard part about perrenials, especially ones you didn’t plant, is knowing what are weeds and what are flowers in the early season.

So glad that your new yard is making you so happy.
