Hot exercising chicks and chicos – Week 11

Can you believe we’ve been at this for 11 weeks already? Almost 3 months!

This is a record for me! I actually LIKE exercising now. I know everyone said that if I stuck with it long enough that I’d start to want to exercise, and it really has happened.

It actually happened weeks ago, but this is the first that I’m bringing it up.

I feel so much happier about myself. I almost skipped one day this week, because I’d gotten rained on 2 days in a row and I didn’t feel like getting rained on again, but I figured if I could just get my exercise clothes on, I’d feel better. And sure enough, as I was tying my shoelaces, I could feel the excitement about going out.

It makes me happy.

    Mon: Swim ~30min
Tues or Wed: Quick walk (~20min…can’t remember which day exactly)
    Sat: 21mile bike ride
    Sun: 16mile bike ride

Isn’t it amazing how when you exercise regularly and then you miss a day or want to miss a day, you realize that you really don’t want to skip. Almost 3 months! Way to go “Excercising Chicks and Chicos”!!

Glad that you are getting into a groove. I fell out of mine when I started my new job. It was soooooo nice when I had a gym in the same building that I worked in…I couldn’t ignore due to weather and I always saw everybody else plodding away on the treadmills guilting me into really doing it! I find that I do much better when I do classes. I think I like the interaction with adults and maybe the competition factor a little too…who knows, but just a thought to keep you going incase you do get bored with doing it on your own.

    Keep up the good work!

    Let me see…

M-F (with the exception of Tuesday): 20 minutes aerobics, low impact, 20 jumping jacks, and 10 minutes of walking per day.
Saturday- 4 hours worth of “shop walking”, 4 hours of tilling, raking, seeding, and weeding.
Sunday- 4 hours of tilling, raking, seeding, and weeding. 10 minute low-impact aerobics. 10 minutes of high-impact aerobics.

Congrats everyone! I feel so good!

And you know, I am getting to the point where I HATE missing a day. This last Tuesday was a headache day and I felt really bad for not doing anything. I like this exercising stuff. :)

I’m glad you’re enjoying the exercise. But, you have to wear a knee brace? That sucks.

I didn’t do squat for exercising last week. Part of it I was traveling. The other part I was wimping out over my knee.

Time has really flown by, it hardly seems like 11 weeks already. I’m thrilled that everyone seems to be sticking to it, and enjoying it.

I’m not going to make any more excuses…I’ve gotta get back in the groove.

Yeah, I injured my knee on my birthday roller-skating adventure and it has been acting up since then. The brace isn’t so bad. I’m not even sure if brace is the right word for it. It is one of those tube-like things that I slide up my leg and over my knee. It really does help, but unfortunately, it gets sweaty and is just one more thing to wash – by hand.

My knee doesn’t bother me when I bike, so I think it is the impact of walking that is doing it. bummer, huh?

Yeah, that sucks. I think I know what you mean by the tube-like thing. Those do get hot and sweaty. Hope your knee recovers soon.
