sewing project – addendum

exploding tomato (2)

I forgot to put this photo in my previous post. So, I’m just going to put it here.

My goal was to make it look like some yellow pin heads were in focus and at a totally different depth of field than the majority. I think it worked out.

I set this up in a really goofy way in order to be able to photograph it and get enough light.

In other news, I also created a slideshow of photos from the sewing project that I forgot to mention. You have to be logged into Flickr in order to see the 14 photos. :-)

I LOVE this picture. (My mom has the same pincushion – I remember playing with it as a kid, rearranging all the pins.)

Vivitar 70-210 mm with one Kenko extension ring of medium size. um…that would be the 20 mm ring.

The pin cushion pictures are amazing. They were worth the goofy setup (too bad you don’t have a photo of that;) ).

All this talk of sewing and how easy pillows are makes me want to use the fabric I’ve had for, oh, 5 years, to *finally* make those pillows (helps that they would finally go with furniture at my apartment!).
