printing and shipping
Just a quick note, cause I know some of you may be checking in on my progress. I have one final figure to pull together (hopefully within the next hour) then I’m off to Kinko’s for the big print. Everything else is DONE.
Shipping it out today, barring any really crazy happenings.

Yes, although right now I am in the “I really hope I caught any mistakes” mode.
I proofed the whole thing yesterday when I was still feeling alert… and when I went to Kinko’s I asked them to print one copy for me to look through before making the final print committment. But, but, the worrywart in me is rising to the surface and twisting my stomach in knots.
ugh. If I don’t get a migraine by this time tomorrow from all of this, it will be a miracle. scratch that.. it will be due to the miracles of modern medicine that developed potent over the counter painkillers.

Note, I’ve already taken one pill. (max is 2 for a 12 hour period)

Just breathe. Breathe. It will all be alright.

I’m actually feeling better about it right now, although seeing that time stamp of 4:29 on your comment made my heart race for just a second (time zones, right).
Anyway, there was one particular section that as I was skimming I was thinking “are these references right?” they look odd for some reason, but I did one of these, “oh, of course they are alright, I already looked at them earlier”. But then until I went back and _really looked_ at them, I was feeling nervous. So, I feel better now.
Now, I’m just hoping the print quality is good…. I got the draft copy on ‘normal’ paper but am switching to laser quality for the real thing. *hoping hoping*
It is odd not doing this part myself and making adjustments as I go. I’m glad that for the final official bound copies, I will be able to do them on the laser printers at school and the color laser printer that makes really excellent looking figures.
Okay, 20 more minutes and I can gooooooo. I just want to goooooooo and be dooooooone.

You totally need to OD on chocolate tonight.
But, yes, your blog clock is an hour ahead. That always gets to me when I comment in the morning. I’m like “what?! I woke up at 10?!” hehe
I am glad that you are feeling better now.
Which reminds me of this one time…
I had a final due at midnight the night of school break and my teacher wanted me to email the paper in.
The only problem with that was Andy had my laptop and my mom’s computer didn’t have Word or any fancy word processor on it. So my paper was written all the way and half formatted the way it needed to be.
That night, Andy was supposed to pick my friend up at the airport on his way home from college, and also drop off the laptop so I could email my paper in.
Well, her flight arrived at 9:45, which meant they would probably get to my house at 11:00, which was by far plenty of time to format my paper and email it in.
Well, wouldn’t you know it, it started snowing hard and her arrival was delayed. Andy and her didn’t get into my apartment until 11:55!
So I frantically turned on the computer, shoved the disk in, quickly formatted it, and emailed it away in 5 minutes.
I made sure to send in the unformatted version when it got to be 11:50, because I wanted to have at least SOMETHING to turn it, but thank goodness they got back in time for me to turn it in. The time stamp on my actual email was 11:59:54. !
I didn’t want an F on a paper I had worked on for an entire 6 months and was 20 pages long.

Chocolate, ice cream, nice tea, a bubble bath, pamper yourself. Do anything to take your mind off of it as there isn’t anything else you can do at this point. But I’m so sure everything is going to be great.
If you want a “cute” break come on over to my blog and check out puppy pictures.

Yay for you!

Oh, Sweetie, I’m so happy you’ve got this behind you now.
So where is HB taking you to celebrate tonight?
Mother Hen says:
Oh little Chick of little faith -
Life is just full of “was it OK” “did I do that part right” most of us seem to second guess ourselves a lot. But that’s good too because we do try to make things right, maybe not perfect, but we do care enough to do that re-check (second guess).
Now on to the next chapter in your life!
