More snow

As I was heating up my soup and applesauce for lunch today, I looked out the kitchen window and saw this.

Cool huh? With the nice rounded shape, and the twigs and the trees in the background.

It is still fascinating to me the way snow piles up on top of things in the oddest shapes.

It can look so graceful.

Or in this next case, symmetrical.

I just took these pics with Dee-Dee while it was still snowing.

Wow. You guys are getting lots o’ snow. We had “thundersnow” the other day. It didn’t amount to any real accumulation, but it knocked down a lot of trees and branches with 80 mile an hour winds. It was quite exciting seeing it snow sideways ;-) Until the power went out for the next 24 hours, that is. brrrr.

EEP! And it STILL keeps coming!

That mound of snow on your railing is kind of neat looking, but I don’t know what it reminds me of.

Which one Amber? The top one reminds me of those poofy tall white hats that marching bands used to wear. And the last one kinda reminds me of a snow soldier with a white helmet and white trim on the sleeves of his arms.

Squirl – I see your 2 personalities about snow are making their appearances again.

Momo – Thanks! Yes, I opened up the sliding glass door for the last one, but otherwise, I took them through the windows.

And I am feeling better. Today is the first day I was able to talk for more than 10 minutes and not feel exhausted, which was good, since I needed to talk to my advisor on the phone about another portion of my thesis.

I also did not need any naps or pain relievers! A sure sign that I am on the mend.

    I was thinking soldier helmet.

Don’t ya just wanna bat at that snow and knock it off the railing???

    I DO!

(That’s the cat coming out in me.)
