First MN snow

I got my first MN snow last night, and it is our official first snow in our new house

This is part of the view as I ate breakfast.

I can actually appreciate the beauty of it too.

Why? Well, because it is the first one of the season. And the first one is always prettier than the 50th one, as you might imagine.

But you want to know the REAL reason why I don’t mind the snow?

No scraping for me!!!!!

And yes, that is a multiple exclamation point statement of Glee! Glee, I say!

I’d take a picture of me spinning around ala the intro to the Sound of Music it makes me so happy, but well, that would be difficult and perhaps just a touch excessive.

Happiness is:

Sitting inside a warm cozy house on a cold snowy day, knowing that
A) you don’t have anywhere outside the house that you have to go
B) if you do decide to go somewhere, you don’t have to freeze your patoootie off scraping the car.

very happy.

Oh girl….I know what you mean about the scraping. I’d LOVE to have a garage! It’s pretty though.

HEY! You stole my post! ;)

Just kiddin’. Andy couldn’t believe it when he woke up. Then he said “It will all melt by noon.” I go “mmm-hmm” (sarcastically, of course) and he goes, “Just you see!”

    And it’s noon.

Has the snow melted? No siree.

    I love when I’m right. :)

    For me happiness is:

    1) The garage
    2) The working snowblower left to us by the previous house owner
    3) A nice warm cozy place to stay knowing that I’m not paying for the heating costs!

Well, I hear that there is more snow for tonight and tomorrow, so I guess no snow for getting out of the house tomorrow is out of the question, eh?

You snow country people are all in cahoots to make me jealous, aren’t you? Because really. You’re just rubbing my face in it is what you’re doing! *arrrrgh*

Also, I had to use my car’s a/c yesterday. On November 15. NOVEMBER FIFTEENTH. WTF?

pretty snow pictures though, thanks for sharing them, for reals.

Ern, the grass is always greener on the other side of the road, isn’t it?

Amber, what was he thinking? Dontcha just love being right? *grin*
The roads are actually very cleared off, so I don’t think driving will be an issue tomorrow. :-)

Poopie – Yes, it is pretty. And I am lovin’ the garage. We had a garage at our apartment complex in Maryland. Of course, Maryland wasn’t all that prone to snow. But I would’ve had to scrape frost off a lot without the garage there.

Yeah for the garage!! I can’t believe y’all have snow.

Let’s see…while we were touring Kauai today the car thermometer read 86F. Yeah for warm vacation locations! Too bad we have to leave tomorrow…

Wow! It’s sooooooooo beautiful. I hope it snows here in NC at least once this year.

One of my co-workers and her hubby will be up in MN the week after Thanksgiving. He has to go to the Mayo clinic to have some tests run. Say a prayer for them…it could be pretty serious.

    … pumpkin ice cream?

Is there some lyric or phrase of which I am unaware?

All I knew is that my Dad would always say “When there’s frost on the pumpkin…” and never finish it.

Momo, I will say some prayers for them.

We got our first snow last Thursday. I had five inches of snow to dump off my car. I was late to the training I had to go to. People always drive STOOPID during the first real snow of the year. It is now almost all melted today, thank goodness.

And you have garage! Two winters of my life I had a garage. Oh, I would sooooo love to have one again. No more scraping or dumping snow. That can save 15 or more minutes in the morning.
