House Hunting Trip in Mnnpls/St Paul – architecture

When I was in Minneapolis, on Sunday morning, HB and I headed to the rental car so that we could drive down to the park by the river.

I got in the car, and looked out through the window/gaps in the parking garage and saw a distorted building.

I said “Oh my gosh! Look at that!”

and HB questions “What?”

How many other people have looked out that same set of windows and not noticed it?

These remind me of Escher.

When we went down to the river, I also noticed a really cool set of power lines.

I took all pictures with Tweedle Dum, the Cyber-Shot DSC-P71.

Okay, I’m confused. Are the windows distorting the reflection of a building? And the photos look like two different buildings, distorting the reflections of two OTHER buildings…?

    And yes, very Escher-esque.

Veeerrry warbly. It’s like a distortion in the time continuim. A wormhole is gonna pop up there in just a few minutes!

    Too neat.

    Sorry about the confusion, Ladybug.

Yes, the building across from the parking garage was mostly windows (evidently warped windows) with those tan square stone columns in between the windows. It is reflecting the building that I was standing in which included the parking garage (white stone with small narrow windows) on the top picture, and a nicer style of building (green, reddish trim) which sits above the parking garage (2nd picture).

You can actually see the transition from one style to the other just a tiny bit in the 2nd pic.

Thanks for the clarification, Danielle. And yes, I _can_ see the transition in the second pic now. Thanks for pointing that out.

Of course, now I’m thinking…How odd, to have two different styles stacked together like that.

But the pics are still very cool.
