Flowers for Friday – ‘Moonshine’ yarrow

I couldn’t get to my server this morning, so this post is going to be a bit rushed.
This is the ‘Moonshine’ Yarrow
Achillea millefolium
that we have in our perennial garden at the front of the house. It is next to the Lady’s Mantle and the rhododendron.

On Sunday, when I took these pics, there were some parts in full bloom and others that were not. Which created an interesting effect in the pictures, I think.

When I got home on Wednesday or so, I noticed that it appeared to be in peak bloom. And the sun was out just enough at 7:00ish last night, that I was able to get a few extra shots.

I have always liked that late afternoon glow. And on these, I particularly like the shadows that are created too.

Needless to say, the Moonshine yarrow creates quite a bright spot in front of our house right now.
