Fab-mobiles for Friday
I still have a couple more posts left of pics that I took while in Minneapolis/St. Paul. However, I jet back out of here tomorrow morning for my cousin’s wedding in Hoosier country.
Yup. Going back to home-ish country.
I say home-ish, because, well, I never lived in this particular part of Indiana, but it is where my parents grew up and where my grandma and grandpa, almost all of my aunts, uncles, cousins, and cousins’ kids live (or lived, in the case of my grandpa).
Funny enough, home-ish, sounds like Amish doesn’t it? Well, there are Amish in the area too, about 10 minutes away, I suppose if you want to get technical.
Anyway, I’ve been debating about the best way to not run out of memory space for my (I mean our) digital camera. *sigh* Taking my laptop and moving pictures off of the camera is the easy answer… but I have issues with flying anyway, and my laptop (fan) is temperamental as it is, so I really don’t want to deal with lugging it in a bag through security etc. bleck.
I guess I’ll just have to continue taking medium to low resolution pictures or be more diligent about deleting the ones I really don’t want to keep.
Anyway, (“my gosh, does she HAVE a point,” you must be wondering) I suppose I will take bunches and bunches of pictures in Indianer too, which means that it will probably take me a couple of weeks to show you all of them.
“Geeeesh lowpeeet, do you REALLY think we want to see pics of a bunch of cornfields?”
WELL, yeah, don’t you?
Just kidding.
well, kinda.
Anyway, this means that Flowers for Friday might be a bit loose for the next couple of weeks. Although, I imagine my cousin will have some nice flowers in her wedding bouquet, and wouldn’t that make a nice pic for next Friday? hmmm?
Can you SEEEEEE how getting me out of my usual environment stimulates my creativity.
I must say, I lurrrrrrrrrrrrrve this feeling of having ideas bursting out of my skin.
FUN FUN F.U.N.!

BTW, there are many many more car pictures where these came from. So, I’ll give you the low down later.
I took these pictures blah blah blah Sony Cyber-shot DSC-P71.
Amber says:
You are going to Indiana, too?! HAHA! AND FOR A WEDDING! How exciting. That’s why I am going to Indiana this weekend!
Haha, you know what they say, Danielle, “There’s more than corn in Indiana!”
And lovely cars, although I have to admit they remind me of my ex-crush. He was into cars. Old cars. And building them. Oh Lord that was all he ever talked about.
LadyBug says:
Cool cars, Danielle. Have fun in Indianer!
And – just wondering – why not just pick up an extra memory card (or two) for your camera? Do those fancy-schmancy cameras not use memory cards? (Mine’s a very simple, scaled-down, inexpensive model.)
Squirl says:
Way cool cars.
Momo says:
Very nice pictures of some really cool cars. In high school, I dated a couple of guys who were really into restoring old cars. One had a 50-something chevy and the other a early model mustang convertible. Both were very classy cars when they were finished being restored.
Have fun in Indiana, we look forward to some more pictures.
poopie says:
I wanna see me some wedding flowers.
La Pix says:
Very very nice pics!
I liked the blah blah blah part best, though. I sprayed a bit of ice cold Poland Spring mandarine on chou-chou, who was cute but making my lap TOO HOT. So, thank you, she moved.
Thankfully, it was her and not Ray. Ray remembers that kind of thing and would be skittish around water bottles – or sitting on my lap. Chou-chou forgot it as soon as she moved.
Danielle says:
Amber, you might’ve been too young to have seen this, but did you live there when the ad was played for Indiana Beach? They made a song out of the “There’s more than corn in Indiana…” I can almost sing it, but not quite.
Ladybug, I asked HB this very thing, and he told me that it probably wasn’t worth the $50 to get an additional one, because I’d be getting a new camera soon anyway. Little did I know just how soon… (to be continued…) In the end, I actually LEFT my memory stick at home in my laptop, and realized it when I was at the airport. *rolls eyes over forgetfulness* So, I had to buy a new one anyway.
Squirl, I thought so too! There are more where those came from too. Also to be continued.
Momo, thanks, I really liked how these turned out too. And, I’m glad you want to see some new pictures, because I have a LOT. It wil probably take me 2 weeks of posts to show them off.
Poopie, soon dear girl.
La Pix – Thank you for the compliment. Did you see me crouched on the ground in the reflection in the bumper of the 2nd one? Well, it is pretty hard to see really, I just know that I had one leg bent, and that I was wearing a lavendar top, so I saw it right away.
And the water spraying? = The ultimate compliment!
As a side note, I have almost put the blah blah blah part there numerous times, but have refrained…. I was feeling more sarcastic that night. I always notice my humor changing a bit the more tired I get. Anyway, I love hearing about your darlings, consider this encouragement to share stories whenever you want!
